Glamorous race-goers soak up sun on Ladies' Day at Epsom races
Spectators donned their finest attire to attend Ladies' Day at Epsom.
Women arrived for the Investec Derby Festival at the Surrey racecourse i n glamorous summer dresses and statement hats on Friday morning.
Soaking up the sun, guests appeared to be in the party spirit as they sipped glasses of champagne and enjoyed the festivities.
Gu ests were told to âdress to impressâ by event organisers to be in with a chance of winning the Style Award title and Â£5000.
Race goers pulled out all the stops in a bid to be named âbest dressed.â
Dressing for the weather, many opted for bright and vibrant colours with yellow and pink proving to be popular hues this year.
Photographed in high heels, floral dresses, and outlandish fascinators, ladies were spotted getting into the swing of the festival as they popped champagne on the lawn.
Friday marked the start of the annual festival which sees hundreds of people flock to the race course.
Revellers were joined by the Duchess of Cambridge and her brother James Middleton alongside Spencer Matthews and his fiancÃ©e Vogue Williams.
Good Morning Britain presenters Susanna Reid and Charlotte Hawkins were also seen mingling in the crowd.
Derby Day, one of the biggest races and events in the summer calendar is due to take place on Saturday.
